My first DIY pedal build and a very fun activity

Having watched the JHS Short Circuit series on YouTube over the summer, I took the plunge and ordered a CopperSound breadboard and the LPB-1-Boost-A-Drive-A-Fuzz to try my hand at some pedal building. A fun activity and some good sounds from the completed kit! Just be mindful that the included switch does require some soldering, so the kit is not all just plugin components (although the circuit can still operate without the switch being included if you do not have soldering equipment available).

I went with the 'medium' sized CopperSound breadboard to ensure I had enough room for my build and I am glad I did as I can space out the kit components a little more and still have plenty of room for making changes and modifications to find new sounds.

JTM-style power amp distortion

Bought this to replicate that early Marshall type sound. Sounds decent straight out of the box but took a little while to dial it in to fit well in a mix. Requires a bit of fiddling and getting the EQ right, but once then paired with a suitable IR it sounds good and to my mind definitely gets that sort of power amp sound (and feel). Impressed.
