OBNE Dark Star is as good as you'd expect, and looks stunning in the black finish. The Dark Fuzz coffee is just as dark and brooding, perfect to pick you right up in the morning. Both were delivered with the usual care and attention to detail from Pedal Jungle and both highly recommended!

A phaser pedal with double the bang for its buck. The ability to ramp up or down at the press of a foot switch makes this one of the most versatile phasers out there.

Bought this to replicate that early Marshall type sound. Sounds decent straight out of the box but took a little while to dial it in to fit well in a mix. Requires a bit of fiddling and getting the EQ right, but once then paired with a suitable IR it sounds good and to my mind definitely gets that sort of power amp sound (and feel). Impressed.

A quality dual tremolo that sounds similar to 60s Fender amps. Plus the ability to blend both harmonic and optical tremolos. Great service from Pedal Jungle too.

I can not fault the speed of delivery, nor the quality of goods. In fact, it's great not to have to use a supply parasite like Amazon were ever possible. After all, no guitar or amp can ever guarantee to be faultless, and I'd rather go to a shop, speak to a human, than ever attempt to deal with faceless, possibly even lifeless assistance. Simples.

A clean boost that adds a little something to your sound. Simple and effective.

Based on a pedal and amp combination favoured by Dave Gilmour - guitarist from some very underground band you’ve probably never heard of - the Hi Power combines a Colorsound boost and a Hiwatt style ‘amp’ drive section. The boost is switchable between an 18v style clean boost and a 9v drive setting, whilst the Hiwatt side can be switched between the massive headroom of the DR103 and more compressed, gainy DR504.

And there’s a normal, bright and jumped channel switch.

Oh, plus a passive effects loop between the two sides for you to put other pedals.

This thing has options.

The boost sounds fantastic whatever setting you’re running it at, whether as an ultra clean boost or as a drive. It doesn’t ever get super saturated, but it’s incredibly useful at any setting, especially pushing other pedals or an amp. No surprise there obviously given what it’s based on.

The tone controls mean it’s easy to find a sweet spot, whether as a treble boost or driving some fuzzy bass out of a heavy amp.

The Hiwatt side also sounds great, but I’ve found it a lot more picky to dial in. I’ve tried it as a direct to DAW recording preamp and as a drive in front of other pedals, and surprised myself by preferring the latter despite my thought that I would primarily use it as a direct in pre.

As a preamp I’ve found it a little tricky to get the sweet spot. Possibly due to my unfamiliarity with the Hiwatt tone stack. As a drive pedal though, the ability to dial up or down the master volume and gain separately, plus the myriad EQ options have made it really fun. It puts out a huge amount of volume, so you can really smash whatever’s after it in the chain.

The effects loop is a very nice addition, and it’s been fun to throw various other drives and fuzzes in there to see how they react.

Worth mentioning that it’s also built really well and weighs more than pedals twice its size. They certainly haven’t skimped on the components.

There’s a lot going on inside this box, and that’s both its best feature and its biggest disadvantage.

It’s a tweaker’s dream, and you can find everything from gentle cleans to obliterating heaviness inside if you have the patience to explore the settings and dial things in.
