Conditioner
Just because our string conditioner is all-natural doesn’t mean you should underestimate it—this little bottle packs a punch. Apply our natural string conditioner to your strings, wipe it off with a clean cloth, and it will vastly extend string lifespan—it’ll even restore some of the smoothness and sparkle to strings that are already past their prime.
Other string cleaners are filled with warnings: do not get in eyes, wash hands immediately after use—stuff like that. Is that really something you want to see on a product that will be touching your fingers for hours? We didn’t think so… That’s why our string conditioner is eco-safe, non-toxic, and biodegradable, with an organic rust inhibitor made from cold-pressed cranberries. Seriously, this stuff is as good as it gets. And it’s 100% safe for your fretboard as well.
One bottle will last you a looooong time too, we’re not even through our test bottle of the final formulation and we’ve been using it for ages. Just give yourself a few minutes to get used to the feel (you’ll come to love how juicy and alive your strings will feel under your fingers), then apply it regularly after you play your guitar, and get used to forgetting how long it’s been since you last changed your strings.
Cloth
Did you know that the nickel and bronze used in guitar and bass string wrap wire is corrosion resistant on its own? It’s true, the thing is, the acidity in our sweat causes these alloys to age—not right away of course, but over time. That’s why folks with more acidic sweat see their strings wear quicker.
But what does all that have to do with a microfiber towel? I’m glad you asked. The simplest, easiest thing you can do to extend your strings’ lifespan is to keep them clean, by wiping them off before and after you play. Dirty strings don’t sound good, clean strings do, simple as that.
Microfiber is an excellent material for just this purpose, since it’s large surface area (it has as much surface area as a cotton cloth four times its size) enables it to pick up all sorts of dust and dirt particles, even those invisible to the naked eye, leaving your strings cleaner, fresher, and better sounding, for longer.
We recently redesigned this cloth from the ground up to make it even better for cleaning oil, grime, and particulates from strings. Now lint-free, and without any protrusions to get stuck in wound strings, it works better than ever. Total size is roughly 11.5″ x 11.5″ when unfolded.
