What Do Surfy Industries Say?

Starting with the concepts born in the Blossom Point and the SurfyTrem, we have now developed something even more special, an incredible character preamp pedal with a sophisticated Brownface amp emulator, complete with an efficient headphone preamp and a direct-recording unit!

The Blossom Point is already a top choice for any musician looking for the sound quality of a Brownface Fender® amplifier (1960-1963), featuring an incredibly fat and warm sound without getting into distortion. The idea of the Blossom Point specifically came to us from the Presence knob on the original Fender® Showman® amplifiers, so why not push it even further and make the entire 6G14® available AND affordable to all with a Showman® amp emulation? In no time, the SurfyMan project was set in motion.

The SurfyMan is a truly unique product: it not only replicates the sound of a Brownface amplifier with its typical fat tone and the PRESENCE control, but it also features the true tone-stack and the exact same circuitry of a Showman®, where every change of the input VOLUME (gain), TREBLE and BASS controls create an unlimited amount of sound possibilities. The SurfyMan actually transforms your sound: it gives you fatness, but also sustain, brightness, power, it clarifies your tone and can even make it more aggressive, if that's what you're after. It's just magic, whether you plug it into your amp (OUT) or to a mixing console, PA or headphone, either using unbalanced or balanced 1/4" jacks!

In the chain, as you find in a Showman® amp, you have the tremolo, with our typical SurfyTrem brownface/blackface selection, and the master VOLUME to correct the overall sound, since the pedal is TRUE BYPASS. The SurfyMan's power requirements are 9-18V at any polarity. The SurfyMan also has style, it's all metal chassis and real OXBLOOD grill cloth set it off in class!

If you are traveling musician with little carry-on possibilities, a SurfyMan and a SurfyBear Compact reverb unit is really all you need: you can plug in everywhere, in any stage situation and to any amp configuration, always getting that perfect Brown Showman® sound.

Amazing Reverb Pedal - Love it!

One of the standout features of the Fathom is its four different reverb modes: Hall, Plate, Lo-fi, and Sonar. Each mode has its own unique character, allowing you to tailor your sound to fit any musical genre or mood. The Hall setting provides a rich and spacious reverb, perfect for creating an ambient atmosphere. The Plate mode offers a brighter and more pronounced reverb, ideal for adding a touch of sparkle to your sound. The Lo-fi mode is particularly interesting, as it adds a bit of grit and texture to the reverb, giving it a vintage feel. Lastly, the Sonar mode introduces a subtle modulation to the reverb, which adds a sense of movement and depth to your sound.

The Fathom also features a sustain switch, which allows you to hold and sustain the reverb effect for as long as you like. This is perfect for creating long, dreamy soundscapes or for adding an extra layer of depth to your playing. Additionally, the pedal has a mix knob, which lets you blend the reverb effect with your dry signal, as well as a decay knob, which controls the length of the reverb tail.

In terms of sound quality, the Fathom delivers a pristine and natural reverb that can enhance any playing style. Whether you're looking to add a subtle touch of reverb to your clean tones or create a massive wall of ambient sound, the Fathom has you covered. I found that it performed exceptionally well in both live and studio settings, making it a versatile addition to any musician's toolkit.

After only ever using the reverb setting on my amp, this felt like a step up in the reverb game. Love it. Bought this 2nd hand from Pedal Jungle and other than not having the original box (this was declared at the point of purchase) it looks to be as new! As always Pedal Jungle are an absolute delight to deal with. Thank you again.

Thanks once again Jon, and thanks also for the great review mate. Paul

Hizumatis Fuzz

Pedal Jungle deliver another winner with this EQD Hizumatis, from their used collection. Very happy with the service and description on the second hand side of things. If I hadn’t of been told I would have sworn it were brand new. Now onto the pedal itself. If you’re a fan of all things Fuzz this pedal is a must have for your collection. You can strum out chords with this one without it sounding like a complete mess and it’s exceptionally good with those doom/stoner rock tones. It can be massive in sound and tones or if you wish it to be, it can be dialed down for a more suitable fuzz effect.

Much obliged sir for your continued custom and support of our small business. Glad the Hizumatis delivers for you. Enjoy! Paul
