The IR-X is powered by two actual high-voltage 12AX7 preamp tubes, rather than via a digital or solid-state method, giving you a genuine preamp in every way, with true tone, response, gain and harmonic characteristics.
Just like a full sized and famed Friedman amp, the IR-X can boast for having two independent, foot switchable channels, with a boost. One channel will take you from bluesy and British-voiced cleans to a muscular Plexi-style roar and the other will give you that Friedman signature higher-gain voice and all the percussive punch.
