The ESP-RA™ DIY Soldered Connector Plug from Evidence Audio is for those that like to solder their patch cables with only the best parts available.
Akin to a 'pancake' style plug, the contact points of the ESP-RA™ are machined from a high-copper-content brass, with a patent-pending closure system that allows for the plug to be assembled with one screw instead of two.
Add exactly what you need to your new or current patch cable setup with these right angle, soldered, high quality connector plugs with a graphite black finish, that help you save space on the often tight pedal board setup!
Available here in single units, they are compatible to work with many types of industry leading cables, including Evidence Audio's own Monorail and Blackrock signal cables.
Hi Zak, thanks once again for the purchase and review, much appreciated mate.
Good service. If you know monorail, you will know it’s more expensive than it should be. I found it the cheapest at Pedal Jungle.
Hi Zak. Thanks for the purchase and review mate. Paul
Great product especially for custom cables . Really easy to use and really secure connections. Don't be put off by people saying everything should be soldered. These have threads that cut into the core and the earth is secured by the friction. Highly recommended, I've used these for years and never had any issues whatsoever.
Hi Simon. Awesome review, thanks for taking the time to provide it, and many thanks for your purchase. Cheers, Paul.
Having been a diehard 'solder you own cables' paerson for many years I though I'd try out Evolution's SIS patch cable making system. The advantage of this system is the low profile of the plugs and narrow cable gauge which translates to neater pedal board wiring. Pedal these days often have ,any more oockets than before and casing sizes are reducing. Somethine even compact 1/4 plugs are not suitable especially when near the 9v DC input.
As a former engineer I'm impressed with the SIS system where the cable, if properly prepared and by following Evolution's instructions to the letter, the cable is screwed ever deeper into the core of the jack plug and cannot be pulled out. I was sceptical but all my connections worked first time with no need to repeat the assembly job. So, far so good - no signal problems at all!
Hi Steve. Thanks so much for the purchase and the review. So glad you're happy with the SIS system. Thanks, Paul.
