The Bleak District Electric Miraj V1 is a four-stage optical phaser pedal that pushes modulation into new territory, blending the lush movement of chorus with the depth of a phaser and the character of classic Univibe and vibrato tones. Hand-built by Bleak District Electric, the Miraj V1 is as striking in looks as it is in sound, housed in a rugged metal enclosure with distinctive artwork.

At its core, the Miraj offers a highly flexible control set. The Regen knob feeds the signal back into itself for more intensity, even allowing self-oscillation. Rate sets modulation speed, controllable via tap tempo or an external expression pedal, giving you hands-free control during performance. Depth adjusts modulation intensity, while the master volume control delivers everything from unity gain to a healthy +8dB boost. The additional waveform control shapes the modulation character, taking you from smooth sweeps to more experimental tones.

Two toggle switches expand the sonic palette further. Switch between Univibe style swirl and classic phaser sweep, or flip into vibrato mode that removes the dry signal entirely for liquid, pitch-shifting textures. Paired with LED indicators for bypass and rate pulsing, the Miraj V1 is as practical as it is creative.

Whether you’re crafting shimmering ambient soundscapes, trippy psychedelic swirls, or gritty lo-fi textures, the Miraj V1 adapts easily to any style. Durham Zia Drive

The Durham Electronics Zia Drive has been on my gigging board for many years.
It is perfect for vibrant chord playing and punches through the mix. The original one I had was replaced by this one from Pedal Jungle, after looking for one for quite some time. They are now hard to source in Europe. I have corresponded with Al Durham (Texas) and he has event built me a pedal, the Zia Drive is his best for my purposes, it just sounds like an extension of the amp.

Super cool Zonk!

I enjoy the zonk sound and this really has few extras up its sleeve with the filter and bias controls. Filter sculpts the low end as fuzz can have "too much" or not enough, it means you can control "fattness". Bias has a range of sounds available from spitting gated fuzz or girthy full on fuzz. Spectacular find and utterly love the design and size of it. Plays with single coils or humbuckers! Choose your weapon and have fun!
