Meet the Redbeard Effects Angry Rhubarb Paradynamic Overdrive MKII, a gloriously unhinged but beautifully engineered overdrive built for players who want full control over their sound. Not just more gain. Not just more colour. Real sculpting power.

Instead of choosing whether the EQ should sit before or after the overdrive, Redbeard did the only sensible thing: both. The Angry Rhubarb MKII packs two fully independent drive circuits; one in front for low-to-medium breakup, one behind for medium-to-more saturation, with a powerful parametric EQ sandwiched in between. The result? A pedal that reacts to your pick attack, cleans up with your guitar volume, and lets you carve frequencies with studio level precision.

The secret sauce is the Paradynamic EQ. With a huge sweep from 80Hz to 4kHz, and the ability to boost or cut by up to ±6dB, you can fine-tune your overdrive voice exactly where it needs to sit, fatten up the lows, poke the upper mids through a mix, pull back harshness, or create entirely new flavours you’d never get from a standard tone knob.

From articulate crunch to focused lead tones, from warm bluesy breakup to modern mid-forward punch, the Angry Rhubarb MKII gives you more shaping power than most multi-channel amps. And with everything 100% analogue and true bypass, it keeps your core tone honest and responsive, just the way we like it.

Designed, engineered and hand-built in the UK, this is boutique overdrive done right.

This is a 'used' pedal, in our Grade 4 excellent condition, with no real signs of use except velcro on the back, and comes with the original box, candy and manual.
