The pros and cons for each pedal is discussed and where the 'best fit' in the pedal chain is. I’m sure seasoned pedal enthusiasts will also get some benefit from the experience shared by Pedal Jungle. There is a very handy table at the end of the book that works as a useful summary. Whether you're just starting out with pedals, or are looking for that one missing piece of the puzzle, this guide shines a light on the overlooked pedals - those "hidden gems" that can really elevate a pedalboard. It’s an easy read, with each type of pedal receiving reasons why to use it, quick tips on how to use it and reasons why it might not be a good fit.

The reasons why/quick tip sections are great knowledge for beginners and intermediate players alike. I personally found the reasons why not to use a pedal refreshing, as it’s easy to keep pedals on the pedalboard because they’ve always been there, whether they’re useful or not - a great reminder that sometimes less is more!
