At Pedal Jungle we take respecting and protecting the privacy and your data very seriously, while always aiming to comply fully with all applicable data protection and privacy laws. We have created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our strong commitment to protecting the privacy of all visitors to our online store.

We do not sell or buy any personal data and this Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us or contact us.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control.

Personal Information We Collect 
To fulfil your order, you must provide us with certain information, the type of personal information we may collect could include your name and postal address, date of birth, telephone number, email address, and credit/debit card information (for order processing). You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information (for a custom order of clothing or gift message for example) if you contact us directly.

We always collect and use your personal information only with your knowledge and consent. This is usually when you order our products, submit customer inquiries, register for information and/or other services, request product information, take part in any surveys or competitions or when you respond to communications from us.

Customer Purchase 
This data is collected via the 
Pedal Jungle website, during the checkout process. No payment information is stored by Pedal Jungle and is processed by PayPal/Stripe, Shopify Payments. We will use our mail provider – for the purpose of updating customers about their orders and opted in marketing.

Customer Mailing List 
This data is collected via our checkout process or by direct sign-up to the 
Pedal Jungle mailing list through the Pedal Jungle website. All data is then transferred to our mail provider.

Data can also be collected for our mailing list by clearly defined email sign up forms used for marketing purposes. Any forms of this type will have affirmative action completion and be seen with clear, transparent information that show reasons for sign up and what the data information will be used for – clear Privacy notice. All data is again then transferred to our mail provider.

If you have consented, we may also store and use your information to contact you for market research and marketing purposes via email.

You are responsible for managing your subscription to our mailing list and can easily remove yourself (Opt-Out) at any point by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ option at the bottom of every email we send out to you.

Cookies 
Cookies are very small pieces of information that allow us to make sure we are showing you the information you need to see. The cookies we create and store in your browser allow us to track whether you’re logged in and a unique identifier so we can safely view any stored information about you when needed (such as when you place an order). No personal information such as emails or passwords are stored in cookies.

We may also collect non-identifying information about your visit to our site based on your browsing activities. This information may include things like the pages you visited and the products viewed or ordered. This is to provide a better overall service to all our customers.

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We hold your information for as long as we need it, and for the purposes it was provided originally and generally we will keep your information for as long as you continue to use our services. We aim to delete all data not needed after this process.

We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we are deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, we rely on secure measures as the legal basis for the transfer.

Social Media 
Any social media posts or comments you send to us via any of our social media channels – could be shared under the terms of the social media platform on which they are written and could be made public. Always review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the social media platforms you use. Any comments you make on social media, in general, must be not offensive, insulting or false. You are personally responsible for ensuring that any comments you make comply with any relevant policy on acceptable use of those services.

Competition Entries and Winners 
We could collect various data as part of any competition/giveaway that we host via our online website or social media channels. All data is submitted as per the terms and conditions stated at the time of promotion. The age of entry to all competitions is 18 years old and above. Any information collected is used only to contact the winners or finalists regarding the competition only. Data pertaining to the usual order information such as an address, phone numbers will be requested to enable the despatch of prizes for the competition.

Information Security 
We are constantly reviewing our procedures of how we can protect your personal data from unauthorised access. Always be mindful that communications over the internet are not secure unless they have been encrypted. In the unlikely event of any data breach or security issues, we will contact all parties and keep them up to date with what steps we are taking to ensure data is secure.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
